What happens when I book?
Let us know by email or phone that you’d like to book and we’ll confirm your shoot date and package with a $100 deposit. The remainder is due anytime before your shoot day.

Though not essential, it’s great to meet with you before the shoot to discuss ideas and plan what to bring, we can sort out a time to do this (in person or Skype/FaceTime/phone). Close to the big day, we’ll be in touch again to make sure all is on track and ready, set, go!

What if I don’t think I look good in photos?

The secret to looking great on camera is… confidence.

Your size, shape, age, etc makes absolutely NO difference to how awesome we’ll ROCK your shoot. The lovely ladies we’ve worked with and that you see here are everyday people, and most have never been in front of the camera before.

Our shoots are all about building trust and confidence, and having you feeling good - so you look good! This isn’t something you do every day, so it’s a chance to really enjoy an experience with a difference…and let us worry about how fabulous your photos will look. This is what we do!

Hair & MU, and Retouching?

If you’d like professional hair and MU for your shoot we can recommend some talented local people to choose from. But contrary to what you may have heard, it’s not necessary to go ‘full makeover’. Lashings of hairspray and blush have traditionally been a huge part of photoshoots. That’s not us. We’re a “less is more” approach. Subtle foundation with some highlight for your eyes and lips are perfect. Anything that draws attention to those fiery eyes is extra perfect! Keep it simple and elegant.

Hair style is lady’s choice, a good rule of thumb is wear it how you’d wear it out. A little volume is good.

Please (please!) avoid spray tanning right before your shoot, under lights it’s almost always too much, so give it a chance to settle. Our post production and retouching looks after any blemishes or stretch marks, and smooths out your lovely natural skin tones.

Studio or On Location?

When you book a shoot with us, you have full access to our private professional studio space if you’d like to shoot there. As an alternative, we can head out to a location of your choice if you have somewhere special or want something a little different.

Outfits? What should I Bring?

Lingerie gives you endless style options, and with a few extras (little black dress, ripped jeans, business shirt… raid all those lovely cliches) means you can tear your wardrobe apart and get creative. We also have items and props here in the studio to complement whatever you bring. If we meet before your shoot, we’ll discuss ideas and plan out a list of things to bring.

It’s also good to bring more than what we’ll probably use, so don’t be afraid to go nuts. We’ll have a good laugh when you yank whatever out of your bag and say, “Maybe we could try…”. We’re great at making the ordinary look extraordinary!

Will my photos be kept private?

Absolutely. We treat your privacy with the greatest respect. Any images we display publicly are shown only with written permission. We may ask you for this, but there is no pressure at all if you refuse.

Who will be at my shoot?

Only me as your photographer, and anyone else you might choose to bring with you. We’ve had bestie’s, boyfriends, bridesmaids, and the occasional mum along on our shoots. Whomever you’re comfortable bringing are more than  welcome. Be warned, they’ll probably get wrangled into helping at some stage too!

How Revealing?

How mild or wild you’d like your photos is completely up to you, same too with how much you’re comfortable showing. We keep the communication flowing as your shoot unfolds to make sure you’re cool, calm and comfortable with how it’s going. Lingerie is generally a given in boudoir, but implied, nude, or any other shots are very much up to you. We have a lot of experience with varying levels of risqué-ness, and treat it all with the great respect it deserves.

This is a gift, how far in advance do I need to plan?

You’ll need to book your shoot at least 8 weeks before you need your photos. Allow more if you can. Post production and designing album layouts takes 3-4 weeks, and once approved album production can take another 4 weeks before it arrives back. Obviously we’ll try to get your gorgeous photos back to you as soon as possible, but quality does take time.

How old do I need to be to do a boudoir shoot?

You must be over 18yrs old. This is not to say that we shoot anything inappropriate, just that Boudoir photos are a style of photography reserved for adults.

When and how will I see my photos after the shoot?

After your shoot, we put all your best images through post production and retouching. This generally takes 3-4 weeks. As soon as your beautiful images are ready to see we can:

  • Invite you back to the studio for your very own slideshow viewing, or
  • If you’re travelling from outside Armidale or can’t make it back to a viewing, we’ll send you a (password protected) link to a private online gallery.

From there you’ll just need to let us know your selected images and finalise any orders or albums so we can get your gorgeous photos to you quicksticks.
